3AW Cook Off

Another year, another $20,000 goes to charity thanks to The Annual Pancake Parlour Challenge. 

Two men: one 3aw radio host John Burnes, up against  Melbourne's highly acclaimed chef  Shannon Bennett of  Vue de monde.

On 3rd December 2010 at the Queen Victoria Market, the two men were issued a challenge; the simple omelette! A box of quality ingredients was provided to allow them to make their own improvements to the humble omelette and the contenders presented their dish to judges: Ross Stevenson, Friday Foodie Ela Carte and 3AW Food critic Bob Hart.

Shannon Bennett was declared the winner - with a score of 11/10.
