Allergen Table

The Pancake Parlour has attempted to identify ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction. However, we cannot guarantee ingredients do not contain any of the above allergenic substances as we have open kitchens where cross contamination can occur. There is also the possibility that suppliers we use could change the formulation or substitute ingredients at any time without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. The Pancake Parlour will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed or items one may come in contact with while eating at any Pancake Parlour Restaurant.

What does this table mean?
We have thoroughly analysed our extensive menu for food allergens. There is a key at the bottom of the page which explains the symbols. Basically the item containing the allergen is indicated by a tick. If there is a dash - the item does not contain that allergen.
CCR means certain ingredients may have been cross-contaminated by our supplier with that allergen/item during the manufacturing process.

All information, descriptions and ingredients are correct as of November 2008.

Can I have the menu item with the allergen removed?
Unfortunately changes or substitutions cannot be made as we cannot ensure that the menu item will be free of the allergen. Other ingredients might also contain the allergen.

What does CCR mean?
This stands for Cross Contamination Risk indicating that traces of this allergen could be in the menu item. These originate at the supplier and may occur via processing on equipment used for the stated allergen. It may not contain the allergen however there is a risk of cross-contamination so may be best avoided if you have an allergy to it.

Is the menu item free of the allergen if there is no tick or CCR stated in that column?
No as we have open kitchens we can never 100% guarantee the item is allergen free. It does mean we have not used that allergen as an ingredient but we cannot guarantee it has not been contaminated in our open kitchen.

What is the additional information column?
This column contains other allergens/chemicals which we were not required to include on the table but thought would benefit our customers to know. It also gives further information if a CCR has been identified for a particular item in a group.

What is Gluten?
